Hello, Man

I was sat on a bench in York With Sarum this Friday, I am a couple of a couple of days behind this week. Eating some fish and chips, it was friday after all!, when an odd looking guy, some may have called him simple, walked by and mater of factly and said "Hello!". At first I thought "what an odd man". Then almost instantly I thought "why is that so odd?". In todays culture it is more odd to say hello to a stranger in the street than to scurry by head looking at your feet.

This got me thinking that wouldn't it be nice if we were all a little bit more odd and wouldn't fear that saying hello to someone in the street. Obviously I know these days actuallty looking at the wrong person would have you beaten to a pulp. So maybe it is not a great idea!!

On an unrelated note I have had a pretty awful day. I won't go into it here, but why are some people so stupid?

Tommorow is the start of my record breaking three consecutive week tour of Norwich. My posts may be a little (or a lot) less frequent than they are at the moment, this no internet thing is really inconvenient.

Signing off for the evening. Cleggton
