Treasure

Well another treasure hunt passes us by. This years theme being cult TV programs. Captain Scarlett was our chosen theme, Tsuki and Dom made some spendid outfits. Myself and Sarum spent 3 hours at work making the shittest mysteron torch ever!

The night was good and I am looking forward to seing the pictures. I will as usual post them in the gallery at cleggville.

I am feeling a little ropey today, I ended up in toffs till the wee hours. I left my keys in the office and had to ring up my flatmate to let me in, I don't think he was too impressed. If that was not enough, it would seem like I left the front door wide open all night. So in general just pissed off all my flatmates. Oh well.

On an unrelated note I have the 14-16 June booked in my diary as SAS training in Norwich. I fear that it is nothing to do with the elite fighting force, and something much more work related.

The darth side

This is great.

upper hand

It has been a while, but i have been finally prompted into posting by a number of factors.

1) Tsuki finally posted a blog, this would make me officially "worst blogger ever". Not wanting to have to have to try and defend this crown, and getting overly competitive about being rubish. I decided it might be best just to do a post.

2) Sarum advises me that Jaq will be frequenting this blog to get the upper hand if we ever meet. My logic is this; I may be able to confuse with my random ramblings such that this is not the case.

I suppose now that i have explained my motivation, I should possibly write something of interest.

A simple update of my life at the moment is probably a good starting point, as whoever has looked at this blog in the past must think i have died.

In work, the Norwich experience seems to be over, giving me time to actually have a social life, worryingly though, I still have no social life.

I have moved into Monks Cross temporarily (maybe!). I don't really know what I am meant to be doing here. But I do get to sit next to Sarum. This could be seen as a good or a bad thing but i think generally good.

Looking forward the PTH, the theme is cult TV shows. Bad data is going as Spectrum (captain scarlet theme). I have the pleasure of trying to make myself look much older than I actually am, to be colonel white.

I would love to rant here about something, but without going into work, that seems nearly impossible. The weather is sunny outside and I am in quite a good mood.

Nazi Nerds

Well it has been a while. I have been away in Norwich a lot and then took a week off to see my folks. All in all having a week away from work was great.

As part of my week off I went to the UK Gentoo linux conference in Salford. This was a great oppurtunity for me to meet Gentoo developers and discuss the furure of Gentoo. I also saw applications of Linux and Gentoo that I had never even imagined. On the down side some of the geeks there gave geeks a bad name. These were the hardore SS nazis of geeks, I won't go into details but it is a shame that some people see knowledge as something to rub in peoples faces, rather than sharing.

I have recently built a laptop of my own using Gentoo, so if I ever get wireless working I should be able to post more frequently.

I realise this post isn't on the usual subject of inane chatter that is usual, but it is a subject that I am passionate about. Maybe even to top the point of volunteering some of my time to the Gentoo project.

I will be back soon with inane chatter.

What News?

It is a week of no news. This week has been has been spent in Norwich, staying in a grey hotel. The new starter was as bad as expected; I have nothing in common with him. Oh well. At least from now on I shouldn’t have to look after him as much.

On a lighter note, this afternoon Burnley drew at home with Blackburn. The match was a below average scrappy affair which saw a 0-0 draw. Obviously I would have loved to see a win, but a replay at Ewood Park is bound to bring in some more much needed revenue to the club. The match was a below average scrappy affair which saw a 0-0 draw.

Next week again I have the pleasures of Norwich, but this time I have set p email blogging so should be able to blog whilst I am there.
