Hello, Man
This got me thinking that wouldn't it be nice if we were all a little bit more odd and wouldn't fear that saying hello to someone in the street. Obviously I know these days actuallty looking at the wrong person would have you beaten to a pulp. So maybe it is not a great idea!!
On an unrelated note I have had a pretty awful day. I won't go into it here, but why are some people so stupid?
Tommorow is the start of my record breaking three consecutive week tour of Norwich. My posts may be a little (or a lot) less frequent than they are at the moment, this no internet thing is really inconvenient.

Blackout
Instantly I was in panic. "There goes my uptime stats!" I thought, my poor machines turned off without a proper reboot. I hoped they were ok.
After the initial panic I calmed, but found myself unable to do ANYTHING!. I couldn't shower, as the boiler measure the demand through electronics, I couldn't have breakfast as the cooker is electric, I couldn't have a cuppa, couldn't write my blog - nothing.
I couldn't believe how dependant I was on electricty and how trusting I was in the national grid to provide power to me.
So I sat there in disbelief for about 15 minutes. Until I realised that I could be waiting all day, I got dressed unshowered and left the house.

Digesting Bad Photos
The lack of a decent photo has mostly concerned me, I have checked all my photos, the only ones that I look OK on are like the ridiculous one in my profile, the others mostly have my face contorted in some horrific smile/grimace. Purely by deduction I have come to the opinion that my self image of myself is obviously much better than the reality, leaving me with no surprise that I have not had a successful* date in yonks.
ON an unrelated note, I have recently reacquainted myself with the humble digestive biscuit. Aren't they great!! My flat mate noted that this is why your grandma always has them. "They know" he said! "They have shunned the new fangled biscuits and have chosen the digestive"
The above was written yesterday, I didn't have time to finish it because I was at a cheese and wine competition, Lint was there. Whereas Lint has half a bottle of wine on his desk I drank mine and then was persuaded to go out till
* definition of sucessful: Having a date, havind date arrive, not having date run away with "my pet lizard is very suddenly ill" excuse.

Dangerous Liberal Baby Sitters
I seemed to have been signed up to spend the next 3 weeks in Norwich, Which, to coin one of my favourite phrases at the moment, Sucks!!!
I also seemed to have gained a number of dependants, not only am I expected to baby sit a new starter on his first week, but have been asked to mentor another new starter for as long as he needs it. Quite why I have no idea as it seems so long since I actually did any of my own work, that I have probably forgotten what I do. But as a positive, at least I have Sarum to keep me sane/insane next week.
On an unrelated note, my friends and I are entered into the bowling competition at work. Inspired by an American Advert during the elections we call ourselves "The Dangerous Liberals". I happened to come across a Blog explaining the problem of widespread liberalism in the American college system, find it here.

Yes I know I am Slack.
I have been working in Norwich a lot. "Why would this stop you posting?" I hear you ask. Well the answer is that amongst other things is that the market leader in its industry, that I work for, still doesn't trust its employees enough to give them internet access. All this in a country where the govenrment are trying to get the whole coutry access "at home or work".
On top of this my web server has been being used by a Hacker. So rather than leave it on the web being used against other unsuspecting people, I decided to "take it offline". Hopefully these holes have now been plugged and everything is now fine.
I have nothng to say really today. I promise that I will say something intersting next time.
